Chants of “We Want Houston” bombarded the streets of New York City just a week ago. Those same streets are calling for a clean sweep of their front office and an organizational overhaul, after the Houston Astros dismantle the Yankees in just four games. From top to bottom the discrepancy in talent was night and day. A Yankee lineup that all season long depended on their superstar outfielder, were stifled at the plate all week, from what is appearing to be potentially, the best pitching rotation Major League Baseball has seen in decades.
It could not have been scripted any better, then when free agent Aaron Judge poetically grounded out for the final out of the New York season. Yankee faithful tipped their cap in homage to the 62 home run season from Judge, not knowing if it would be the last they would see the eminent MVP frontrunner, in pinstripes.
